Rocketship Education retained Cornerstone Earth Group, Inc. to provide environmental services to assist in school site selection and to provide geotechnical engineering and geological services during design and construction of a new charter school campus in San Jose, CA. The project includes a new K-3 public elementary school designed with a capacity for 550 students and 24 staff members. The two-story, 22,112 square foot school building includes 14 full-sized classrooms, a smaller special classroom, a multi-purpose room, administration space, four girls’ and four boys’ restrooms, and two staff restrooms. The project includes a 1,000 square-foot shade structure, a 2,400 square-foot play structure area, and 11,000 square feet of paved play area.
