Napa Logistics Park — American Canyon
Orchard Partners retained Cornerstone Earth Group, Inc. to provide geotechnical engineering, geological, and construction services for an approximately 218-acre logistics center. Napa Logistics Park (NLP) will be completed in two phases. Phase 1 consists of a 646,000 square foot warehouse with office space. Phase 2 includes four additional warehouses with footprints ranging from about 50,000 to 1,000,000 square feet. Phase 2 also includes a vehicle and pedestrian bridge that crosses an existing creek channel and several off-site road and utility improvements.
Cornerstone’s Value Added Benefits:
- Provided ground improvement recommendations to economically mitigate and reduce potentially significant liquefaction-induced settlement.
- Presented cost-effective field solutions during construction to address construction challenges, including mitigation of unstable pavement subgrades, shallow ground water, and seepage.
- Provided geological oversight and field services for the fault investigation; Cornerstone worked closely with the City of American Canyon to expedite the fault investigation and review process.
- Prepared geotechnical recommendations for design and construction of the proposed vehicle and pedestrian bridge, which included a Design Spectrum analysis per Caltrans bridge design criteria.
