Cornerstone Earth Group, Inc., provided geotechnical consultation services for Meta in the development of a new Community Center in Menlo Park, CA. Cornerstone’s services include a geotechnical investigation, settlement and foundation recommendations, mitigation of highly expansive soils, a design level geotechnical report, observation and testing of mass grading, foundation observation, utility trench backfill, flatwork, and pavement asphalt compaction.
The Community Center will consist of an approximately 40,000 square-foot building and house a senior center with a senior lounge, a children’s library, a wellness center including a gym, a dance and yoga studio, and a youth center with a teen lounge. Outside the Community Center, plans call for a lap pool, an instructional pool, a splash pad, and a pool deck offering several shaded lawn areas. Other outdoor amenities will include a playground, parking, and improved access to nearby Kelly Park.
